Money Out of Nothing

Trash like cans, plastic bottles, metals or even destroyed appliances is just nothing for some people, they will just throw it in a garbage can not knowing that it will be very useful to recycle and make new product out of it, they even don’t know that, that trash they have can give them cash.

A Trash for Cash program had been pursued last January at SM City Cebu. Many schools had participated in this program but not just schools but also other citizen who is willing to turn their trash to cash.

This program had given many people an advantage. We just don’t receive cash but, practically, we also given an opportunity to CLEAN our garages for good.

I have seen many trashes on that day and it really makes me wonder how those trashes are fitted inside their houses. Maybe, they have a really big garage. J

But beside of all those advantages and questions I have encountered in my mind, I have realized the importance of what we have now. We may have many beautiful things to use and just neglecting the not so useful, dirty things which we considered trash, but we don’t just know that it could also give us something, money particularly. Just to connect it with our great commission for God, which is discipling lost souls, we usually neglect those people we considered as not so important and just give all our time to those people who are dear to us, not knowing that those person needs us also, they need to know God. God said in His word that richness, fame, and all your possessions here on earth won’t count in His eyes, He will use those people who are willing in heart regardless of their past, for example, drug addicts, prisoners, low class people and to those other person that the society of ours consider as trash.

We should give importance to every little thing we have, to every individual we know coz we might know that inside those trash, deep inside those person comes the hiding greatness of God.

Let’s go out and make disciples for God. Let’s make a battalion of armies that will fight for God’s greater honor.

Love itself is Life

        

The meaning of life is deeply mixed with the philosophical and religious conceptions of existence, social ties, consciousness, and happiness, and touches many other issues, such as symbolic meaning, ontology, value, purpose, ethics, good and evil, free will, conceptions of God, the existence of God, the soul, and the afterlife. This simply means that life is really mysterious and complicated that produce to many questions of once life.

I have asked myself, what is the most important thing in this world to attain? What can fulfill our life as human beings? These remain unanswered in my life. There are the questions that kept me wondering and puzzled.

But as I gone through life, I had realized that the answers of these questions are based only in the philosophy in once life. Different answers could be acquired in different people, for each of us has its own way of philosophy.

In my philosophical opinion, the most important thing to acquire in this world is “to love and beloved”. 

In the bible, Jesus had said that if we do have faith, hope and peace but without love, it is just good as nothing, for love is the greatest among all of them. Love can fulfill our innermost desires and happiness. It is even our duty as human to love our fellowmen just like what our Father in Heaven had done to us. He had shown his great love for us by giving His only begotten Son to die on the cross to save us from our wicked sins. (John 3:16)

There is no greater love that can compare to God’s love for us. If we love God we should then love others and beloved in return. What we do to other people is same as doing it to our Creator.

We should love others through actions and not just in words. For love without actions is dead. Let us love one another for love comes from God and love itself is life.

Love and Beloved

          There's a lot of definitions that could fit to the word love. Some may say, Love conquers all, Love waits, Love lasts forever, Love sees no wrongs, Love leaps away from odds, Love is beautiful, Love is a mystery, Love keeps as alive, Love sustains our emotions and soo much more.

          But, what is really love means for me? Well, love is like a kingdom that I desperately want to enter. It is a place where my dreams pass through. It is a paradise that I have always been dreaming to live in. It is a puzzle that I want to finish as soon as possible.

          I have always hear of love stories after stories. I have been slightly jealous. I always ask myself, Where is mine? Where is my love story? Where is my prince? Does it really exist in my life?

          But as of this moment, I'll wait for my own, unique love story where God is the author. Where it'll happen in a right and proper time and place. Where our relationship will be a light to every people who sees us, where we can be a good example, and where our love for each other will abound and will conquer all things, against all odds.

          For my future prince, I just want to say in advance that "all these dreams, all these definitions wouldn't have exist if it wasn't for you, for love isn't about definitions, it's all about you, for love is you..."

A Little bit of Heaven

          In the Bible, Heaven is described as the most beautiful and comfortable place to live in, where love and happiness abounds. It is full of golden houses, curtains that made of pearls and you could even see all the different precious gems everywhere. Heaven is a place that could exceed your wildest imagination.But going back to reality, here in earth. Could we really say that there is what we called "A Little bit of Heaven"?

          For me, it indeed exist. Let's think. What do we have now that could fulfill our little bit of heaven? Well, we have our Family and Friends. Maybe you'll be wondering of what's the connection of it. Base on my own experience, here it goes...

          Without my FAMILY I would have not exist, I wouldn't see the beauty of this world, of God's creation. They have been used by God to mold me into what I am right now. They supported me in every decision I made. They made me go to school. They provide all my daily needs. They had wrap me with their warm and tender love and care. So, is that a little bit of heaven? I'd say, YES it is.

          In my 150,840 hours of existing in this temporary world, I wouldn't have lived a happy life without my FRIENDS. Through thick and thin they have been with me supporting me, through all the challenges in life they have given me the strength to cope it up even if it's hard as entering the hole of a needle. Now, is that also a little bit of heaven? Of course YES.

          Our world as of NOW, is full of obstacles to go through. Some may not realize the existence of a little bit of heaven but let's be a light to them, let's help them experience it. Let us help them see the hidden wonders of happiness in this world full of darkness, let us give them a little bit of heaven...

Something that's Real

        Human beings are intelligent, resourceful, skillful and creative. But as we have our quest of LIFE, do you know what’s real? Do you know what will last for eternity? Do you know your reason of why you are still continuing your race in this life? Or better yet, do you know WHO keeps you going?

       Life is full of mysteries. It is full of ups and downs. We can never predict what will happen in the next pages or chapters in our book of life. What we have and what we know is just NOW, our present time, we are just capable of moving on our past and making a better future by just making a difference in our present.

     Time runs and we can’t stop it. But, are you capable of handling things out when life seems to turn its back on you? When your good life just turns upside down?

      A man named John Nash had suffered a terrible past and had experience a thousand rejections before attaining his real happiness and knowing his real friends.

     He has that beautiful mind, a genius mind instead. He can decode things out of numbers and articles with just a few span of time. He is unbelievable. As we see him, we might think that he is perfect and just amazing man but behind his great mind, lays the disease called paranoid schizophrenia that made him hallucinate things and persons which aren’t real, which made him struggle. You know what’s amazing upon experiencing this in his life? It made him stronger. He sees what is real and who is real to him.

      Above all his experiences, his dark times, he continued his life and builds a new start with the help of his wife and friends. Who would have thought that after all he had been through, he had won a Noble Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences on 1994. Life again is just unpredictable, full of surprises.   

       As I have watched the movie, Beautiful Mind, I have realize that this world we are living is full of uncertainty, that we couldn’t fully trust anybody even ourselves. Living in this world is uneasy. We can’t run the race alone; we all need someone to help us get through it.

      Personally, I have someone who had been helping me with all my struggles in life, He is the reason of my every success and I love him so much. If John Nash has his wife, I have my God with me and He had promise me that He will never forsake me and He loves me. That is something enough for me to keep going in my life.
